Summer Breeze

August 5, 2010 · 1 comment

Once a year (at least), I unplug for a week and release the email, Facebook, Twitter and all of the online connections. It’s a time for family, rest, page-turning thrillers, cooking out on the grill, a gin and tonic with extra lime, card games, walking in the woods and still more rest. This is that week.

I cued this post up before I pulled the plug and it’s my vacation theme song this year. I definitely want to feel what will blow through the jasmine in my mind. If you’re anywhere near my age, this song will probably bring back memories of many, many summers and a time that was hopeful, innocent and probably smelled a little like coconut. I hope you are finding your place to rest somewhere in a summer breeze, too.

Thanks for being a reader. The resting time of year truly makes me appreciate that you have shared some of your precious time with me.

Enjoy every minute. I’ll do my best, on this end, to try and stop the clock.
